AYA CAN is a peer-led national organization advocating for Canadian adolescents and young adults (AYA) affected by cancer.

Our Mission

To advocate for an equitable and integrative system of care to improve the experiences of Canadian adolescents and young adults affected by cancer.

Our History

Started as an idea in 2018, we have built our community to have over 200 stakeholders.

What we do

Interconnect

Connecting and nurturing Canadian initiatives aimed at improving AYA cancer care and survivorship, by hosting tri-annual web conferences on updates and advances in AYA research and care.

Collaborate

To collaborate with governmental, academic and community non-for-profit organizations to support research initiatives and community services aimed at improving accessibility and care for AYA affected by cancer.

Knowledge Translation

To facilitate knowledge translation and increase awareness of the unique needs of AYAs affected by cancer, by consolidating stakeholder and patient perspectives.

Get Involved

Community Calls

We began building our AYA community by hosting tri-annual web conferences for anyone interested in AYA research, community programming and advocacy projects.

Emergency Fund

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, we rallied to support Childhood Cancer Canada with The Emergency Fund for patients and families to receive support during these ongoing difficult times.

Support Letters

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to apply for a grant. Maybe you want to request funds from donors. We can help by providing a letter if your project will help AYAs affected by cancer.
